The Service Center Scheduler will provide administrative and clerical support to the Service Center staff within a defined service area.


The Service Center Scheduler will work collaboratively to schedule comprehensive physician examinations for members within a defined service area.  The Service Center Scheduler will assist the Service Center team and Nurse Practitioners with ensuring coordinated medical care and care plan delivery for our members. 


  • Prepare electronic medical record to ensure accurate Member demographics and primary care physician information
  • Schedules appointments for Nurse Practitioner
  • Verifies Member's insurance coverage and plan enrollment for coordination of services
  • Collaborates with medical assistants to complete chart preparation and manage inventory of those records
  • Collaborates with primary care physician's office staff for completion of referrals
  • Greets Members and completes Member check-in and check-out process
  • Completes claims form review, printing and routing
  • Travel within the Service Center region

Must speak with a pleasant, moderated tone and effectively communicate with consideration and tact, especially with an elderly population. Projection of a positive and friendly attitude, especially in telephonic-based communications
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize
  • Ability to work with all departments and personnel at all levels
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel within the service region


  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must possess basic computer and math skills to perform data entry accurately and efficiently
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Preferred to have worked in a medical office, out-patient or hospital environment
